Moses Kuria Has Been Arrested Over BBI, Claims Moha Jicho Pevu

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has been arrested over his continued attack on Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), Nyali MP Mohamed Ali popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu has claimed.

Speaking in a Kikuyu accent on Friday, Moha claimed Mr Kuria has not been arrested for assaulting a woman as being claimed.

He criticized Pro-BBI leaders for wasting public money on BBI sensitization meetings instead of concentrating on bettering the Kenyan economy.

Moses Kuria has been slamming the government for ignoring coffee and Milk farmers whilst giving BBI a priority.

The Nyali MP claims billions of money is being wasted on BBI while Kenyans continue to suffer.

Mr Kuria was arrested on Friday over an assault case filed against him on December 10, 2019.

Joyce Wanja said she was assaulted on December 8 last year at the RMS premises during a show she and the MP were invited to discuss BBI.

Moses Kuria was taken to Kilimani Police station where he is spending his weekend.

Kuria has said he is ready to pay the price for others to get freedom.

The MP on Friday said it was unfair for police to arrest him over a matter he claims to be a complainant over.

Kuria, through Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa, said his adamant stand on the BBI is what has put him in trouble, but he will not be intimidated.

He said because he has chosen to be part of the William Ruto camp, some elements within the government have resorted to frustrating him.

He has said he does not understand why police chose to arrest him, yet last year he made a formal complaint at the Kilimani station over the assault claims.
