Distribution of Nairobi’s New Covid-19 Cases in Estates

Kenya has recorded the highest number of covid-19 cases.

Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman on Wednesday June 17 while giving the daily Covid-19 updates confirmed 184 new cases of coronavirus infections.

This brings to 4,044 total number of Covid-19 cases in the country.

Out of the 184 cases, Nairobi has 111 cases, Mombasa 19, Kajiado 14, Meru 13, Kiambu has nine, Busia has six, Machakos has three, Nakuru has four, Kwale has one, Nakuru has one, Garissa has one case, Taita Taveta has one and Vihiga with one case as well

According to CAS Aman, the Covid-19 numbers are rising because of community transmission.

In Nairobi, the 111 cases are distributed in various estates, with Westlands having three, Kibra has 19, Langata has 18, Embakasi East has 15,Dagoretti North has 12,Kamukunji has four cases , Makadara has two cases, Starehe has two cases, Embakasi Central has two, Roysambu has one case, Embakasi West with one case and Kasarani with one case as well.

The ministry has also discarged 27 patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,354.
