Ranked among the best colleges in the USA, the University of Arizona offers over 300 undergraduate majors and graduate programmes, along with all the vibrancy that comes with being part of the ‘Arizona Wildcats’ community.

UA is located in Tucson – a city with a vibrant cultural scene within and serene desert landscapes beyond, that embraces its energetic student community – in the state of Arizona, located in South-Western USA, and home to the world-famous Grand Canyon.

The undergraduate majors that UA is best known for include business, management, marketing, biological and biomedical sciences, and social sciences. Its average acceptance rate is around 79%, ranking it high among public universities in the USA. It also hosts over 4000 international students and scholars.

  • Eligibility criteria

To gain admission into the undergraduate programme, the eligibility criteria for Indian students include a minimum yearly average overall grade of 55 percent with Second Class, and proof of English Language Proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic.

For graduate programmes, in addition to minimum academic scores and language proficiency, proof of financial resources and health insurance are also required.

  • Costs and Funding

The costs incurred by an international undergraduate student averages at $54,000, including tuition and fees, living expenses, health insurance, plus enrolment fee.

As a public institution, UA cannot provide financial aid to international students; however merit-based scholarships are available – theInternational Tuition Award may be awarded to students admitted to the undergraduate programme who exhibit outstanding academic performance, based on grade point average and test scores, such as SAT/ACT and English proficiency tests.

Applications are presently open for all three semesters in 2020, with deadlines as follows – November 1 2019 for Spring 2020, and May 1 2020 for Summer and Fall 2020.
