How A Tanzanian National Got Himself On The Wrong Side Of The Law In Homa Bay, Jailed For 15 Years

A Tanzanian national found himself on the wrong side of the law and has been jailed for 15 years after being found guilty of defiling a 17-year-old girl in Homa Bay County three years ago.

Zuberi Bado Isa appeared before Ndhiwa Principal Magistrate Mary Ochieng’ where he faced two charges.

In the first count, the 24-year-old was accuse of defilement contrary to the Sexual Offences Act of 2006.

In the second count, the foreigner was accused of being in Kenya unlawfully and illegally. The accused pleaded guilty of being in Kenya illegally but but his attempts to say he did not defile the victim fell on deaf ears.

A medical report from Dr. Nelson Waka of Ndhiwa sub-county hospital revealed that the girl was defiled. The accused was given 14 days to appeal.
