Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has mesmerized Kenyans after sharing photos of him and his wife, Gladys Wanjiru, enjoying a hike along a dangerous escarpment.
In the photos, Murkomen is seen holding his wife’s hand as they walk up the hill.
The Elgeyo Marakwet senator revealed that the hike reminded him of his childhood days when he used to look after goats.
They supported themselves on walking sticks as they walked along a dangerous escarpment.
“Yesterday, after visiting my aunt and cousin at Soko Bora, I took my wife for a nostalgic walk up the hills to Chepturotwo. Reminds me of my childhood when we were looking after goats. It was such lovely hike despite the challenges of walking along a dangerous escarpment,” tweeted Murkomen.
Murkomen and Wanjiru tied the knot in 2009 in an African themed wedding after dating for six years.
Wanjiru is a lawyer by profession, just like her husband. The two graduated together with law degrees from the University of Nairobi in 2005.
Kenyans heaped praises on the senator, with some taking him as an inspiration.
Murkomen has been showing off his life outside politics which has really excited Kenyans.
On Thursday, Murkomen posted a video of him cooking golden brown ugali in the village.
Here are some of the reactions that Kenyans got up with on Murkomen’s hiking photos.
