Tanzanian National team Taifa Stars are seeking to revenge against Harambee Stars barely a few days after being beaten 3-2 by Harambee Stars in 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Kenya and Tanzania were in group C along side 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finalists Algeria and Senegal are group which saw East Africa countries been eliminated in the group stages Kenya finishing third behind Algeria and Senegal this Tanzania finishing bottom with 0points following defeat in all preliminary games.
The two neighboring countries are meeting once again in another showpiece after which the top team on aggregate will meet Sudan in the second round in attempt to win ticket in next year’s Chan Championship.
The first match is scheduled for tomorrow at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Tanzania and then return match at Moi international Sports Center Kasarani a week later.
Speaking to Journalist, new Taifa Stars head coach Ndayiragije Etienne admitted that they are ready to revenge against Kenya in Chan completions
” Our game against Harambee Stars in just concluded AFCON games was not bad,we did mistakes which later costed us, but now we are on them” he said.
