Food is the most primal form of comfort to everybody. And a healthy outside starts from inside. We all
eat so as we can live healthy and long. However, most people tend to spend a lot of money on junk foods i.e pizza, hamburgers, sweet desserts, soft drinks etc..which are considered hazardous to our
bodies.

Occasionally some do it unaware, often some do it trivially. Consuming these foods regularly is unhealthy to our bodies and can lead to risk of numerous disorders.

They are often high in calories, fat, cholesterol, sugar and salt components, they normally offer no
nutritional value. Since they tend to reduce the level of body concentration they call for Chronic
diseases such as cancer, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart diseases, among other dangerous
conditions.

These junk food are associated with the rise of numerous cancer diseases. According to research,
separately men show high risk of lung cancer and women showed a high risk of liver and
postmenopausal breast cancer.

In our daily lives, most people complain about severe stomach pains. This is obviously caused by what
kind of foods we eat.

Not knowing what might happen next if it continues, they assume is just for a short
time.

It also facilitates the fact that individuals who consumes junk food are predisposed towards H.
pylori.

After many years, they can cause sores, called ulcers, in the lining of your stomach which for
some people, the infection can lead to stomach cancer.

How easy is it to acquire a bag of chips compared to fresh vegetables at your local convenience store?

That’s the question we need to take into consideration. Dwelling more on organic food helps in many
ways, reduce the risk of developing cancer which are skin cancers, prostate cancer and colorectal
cancer.

This is important for people to focus on the risk factors they can control. You do not have to wait until you’re dying to take precautions and think about living.

Living for tomorrow is living today. Reality is all these diseases can be prevented by choosing to eat quality food such as vegetables and fruits, healthy fats, whole grains and healthy sources of proteins. Medicine is not
health care rather a sick care. Quality food is health care. It is time we see it for what it is.

The year-old TV47 is undoubtedly Kenya’s fastest growing television station, with a large pool of young journalism talents that are yet to fully catch the eye of the Kenyan audience.

Despite this, the TV’s sports desk lead man is one to keep an eye on; as the station grows so he is.
Little is known of Julius Jumah alias Mlavidavi, a sports anchor and reporter whose command for both English and Swahili leaves the audience wowed.

Mlavidavi who is less than a year old at the Parklands based media house, is slowly carving a niche for himself as Kenya’s television king of piece to camera(PTC).

Detectives from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have arrested Kenya Ports Authority ( KPA) General Manager for Finance Patrick Nyoike, his wife Jacinta Wambugu and a KPA clerical officer Isaack Obunga over irregular payments of Kshs.214 million.

According to a statement by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODDP), it has shown that Mr. Patrick Nyoike allegedly used his power to allocate the money to Nyali Capital Limited, a microfinance business which is run by his wife Jacinta Wanjiku Wambugu who acts as the company’s General Manager along with other directors.

“Indeed, Patrick Wambugu Nyoike facilitated Nyali Capital Limited’s microfinance business to finance the KPA suppliers, Local Purchase Order (LPOs) and Local Service Orders (LSOs) and thereafter used the KPA system to have the principal and the interest from the said suppliers remitted to Nyali Capital Limited’s account by the KPA,” the statement read.

DPP Noordin Haji's press statement relating to allegations of corruption involving Kenya Ports Authority officials and Nyali Capital Limited.#AntiCorruption_ODPP pic.twitter.com/wkPqw3DNXL
— ODPP_KE (@ODPP_KE) May 10, 2020

According to the ODPP, Nyali Capital Limited acted as a vendor in the KPA portal which indicates a conflict of interest and also a break of the codes and conducts.

“This demonstrates a conflict of interest on the part of Patrick Wambugu Nyoike, the General Manager Finance at KPA,” the ODPP’s statement adds.

Probing Mr. Wanyoike started Last year when the anti-graft detectives raided his house under probe of siphoning millions from the company to a private developer.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) then, claimed they were working on a tip-off suggesting that a sum of Sh241 million were moved from the company to an individual close to Mr. Patrick Wambugu Nyoike.

Curfew breakers will no longer be accommodated at the usual government quarantine facilities.

Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman on Sunday May 3, 2020 while giving the daily Covid-19 briefings at Afya House said that those arrested defying curfew while now be taken to different centres, that meet social distancing rule.

CAS Aman said that the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai had been directed to designate a curfew breakers’ holding place, to avoid putting the curfew breakers together with those that have been quarantined after showing the signs of Covid-19.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe had earlier announced that those found defying curfew are assumed to have been exposed, thus the need to get quarantined.

CAS Aman’s announced on directing IG Mutyambai to designate a holding place for curfew breakers comes after an outcry from Kenyans.

Kenyans had earlier on caused an uproar, decrying the poor conditions that curfew breakers normally get exposed to.

Speculations have it that those arrested are normally kept in the same rooms with suspected Covid-19 patients, without even considering the social distancing rules.

Those arrested are however, expected to cater for their own accommodation bills, after completing the 14 days of quarantine, and completing the two mandatory Covid-19 tests.

Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has launched an attack against political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi over his comments on Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s speech.

DP Ruto on Thursday morning addressed the nation on the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the country.

His address however, went against many people’s expectations, that led to them attacking the DP on social media.

Mutahi Ngunyi is among the people who criticized the second in command’s speech.

Taking to his twitter handle immediately DP Ruto finished addressing the nation, Mutahi Ngunyi argued that DP Ruto had appointed himself Co-President and gave a statement from his Co-Government.

He said that one has to read President Kenyatta’s eyes for him/her to understand him, and read DP Ruto’s body language for you to understand him.

Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua has strongly opposed a lock down in Kenya as a measure of containing COVID-19.

The moral cop through his official twitter account on Monday termed the lock down as a bad idea.

Mutua who demanded to know the people pushing for the lock down noted that majority of Kenyans live from hand to mouth, and a lock down would be a bad idea for them and their relatives.

He cited that the government should only come up with the lock down as a solution after coming up with a plan to feed Kenyans who will be affected.

“Who is pushing this lockdown crap and why? Salaried people sitting in the comfort of their homes can pontificate to others about lockdown. Those who live from hand to mouth or have relatives and friends who do, a lockdown is a bad idea, unless there’s a plan to feed the people!” he posted.

Who is pushing this lockdown crap and why?
However, while appearing in a video interview at K24 TV in a show dubbed punchline on Sunday night, government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna said Kenya has not yet reached to point of locking down.

Oguna said that the country is not yet ready to declare a lockdown since the cases have only been reported in seven counties, with most of them concentrated in one county.

“The first factor would be the eruption of infections sustained in many counties and the health systems are overwhelmed. Right now we are talking about 7 counties,’ he said.

Oguna was clear that locking down the nation is not a one man decision, citing that all government agencies have to put their heads together before coming up with such a decision.

Instead, he said that they were urging people to obey the directives issued by the government to ensure that the number of confirmed cases remain the way they are.

Currently, Kenya has recorded a total of 142 confirmed coronavirus cases, with four recoveries and four deaths.

As the corona virus cases increase from 25 to 28, President Uhuru Kenyatta has been forced to impose a dusk to dawn curfew between 7pm to 5 am which will act effective from Friday 27,March.

This is probably to bar ignorant Kenyans who are used to being away from home at the given hours to take on toes the measures in order to reduce the spread of the corona Virus in the country.

This comes barely two days after Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe termed Kenyans as indisciplined and difficult to handle.

Kagwe’s remarks came after a section of Kenyans failed to adhere to the measures that the government had set to curb COVID-19.

Despite this measure, the Head of State has
exempted a few persons from it,these are Health Workers,Medical professionals, critical
and essential services providers.

“Effective Friday, 27th March, 2020; a Daily Curfew from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. shall be in effect in the territory of the Republic of Kenya, with all movement by persons not authorized to do so or not being Medical Professionals, Health Workers, Critical and Essential Services Providers, being prohibited between those hours,” said Kenyatta while addressing the nation on Wednesday.

The head of state, however, let a sigh of relief in the hearts of Kenyans when he announced that one of the patients who had earlier been infected with the virus had fully recovered.

He further asked Kenyans to strictly take up on safety measures given by the Ministry of Health and further emphasized on social distancing as a way to cope with COVID-19 in the country.

There
is immense narrative behind gaming, that lies for once or forever in every
desiring mind. It could be explained through plays, game competitions or even
video game reviews which probably takes the largest stake of the track.

For
sure, not one or two dream of being in
the gaming world in the act of a video game reviewer/journalist, it may be
hard, yes, but the “hardship” thought could easily be cut off in every
passionate heart and mind for it burns with acidic penetration that loosens
more the of video game understanding.

It
takes a lot to hold this profession to the grassroots. Consistent creation of
great and new contents every other moment could act one of the difficult but
better ways to becoming a better reviewer by writing great reviews in a unique
perspective about the games released and played. The content developed could
also take ages to be discovered but social media could be the best platform to
share and building personal blogs for exposure.

Reviewing
games is completely different from playing games for “fun”. Reviewing requires
focus, mind of revealing defects, reporting bad design, making rigid
suggestions and even strictly replaying the same games for thorough testing to
confirm issues of resolution with concise communication of bug reports to
provide for proper approval of videos whenever
and assign severity.

Commitment
and timeline needs a great care in video game reviewing for its valuability is
unsurpassed, it plays a big role. In the state of online gaming publications no
advanced copy of particular game is provided to reviewers, so one needs to snag
a copy of the game as it is released and since many gamers usually read a game’s
review on the day of release or few days later, meaning one is working within a
narrow window to play through the game, write the review, edit it and get it to
the concerned site.

To
keep consistency, content development and even rebuilding commitments, alive in
the game needs proper journalistic training and a well-schooled mind. This
pillars better structuring of gaming stories, conducting better interviews on
gaming ownership, evaluating sources and build a humongous and fantastic
network with colleagues hence designing a proper shaded roof and rigid mind of
resolutions in the whole of gaming zone.

As
far as it is known there are no paid video game reviewers who devote their pen
solely to reviewing video games. There are few writers who review video games
to get paid but they work for print world and in most cases they have
journalistic skills. The reward in the field is fueled by their smart work and
turning the gaming habit from hobby to a profession. A general thumb up lies in
growing the desire of video gaming every other time.
