Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Monday, January 29 raided Dhahabu Microfinance Bank along the Eastern bypass.

Reports indicate that Dhahabu microfinance Bank that is located around Kamakis area has been operating without any licenses or regulatory approval.

During the operation, the detectives confiscated computers which are believed to be carrying vital evidence.

Other directors of Dhahabu Microfinance Bank are Lucy Murugi Kamengere, Eric Mwangi Kimani and Peter Kamau Maina.

One director, Joseph Chege Kamau was also arrested during the operation.

The firm also operates a real estate company called Dhahabu Land Limited.
