West Pokot governor John Krop Lonyangapuo has been earning popularity day in day out with his comic speeches, where some have been turned into comedy.

Do you remember the “Kijana fupi nono round huwezi jua tumbo ni wapi mgongo” remark?

Well, Lonyangapuo has once again left his county residents in stitches as he narrated to them about his foreign trips.

Lonyangapuo kicked off the talk with his trip to United States of America as he passed President Donald Trump’s regards to his West Pokot people.

He noted how his popularity has earned him celebrity status in the US as he narrated how white people were struggling to take photos with him.

He noted that his foreign trips mean a lot to his people, noting that the fruits of his trip to Israel will soon be witnessed in West Pokot County.

Funny as he is, Lonyangapuo narrated how he met with President Uhuru Kenyatta at the office of the president in Nairobi when he toured back.

“Jana nimekuwa na baba wenu wa taifa Nairobi, pokeeni salamu za Mzee Uhuru Kenyatta, mmepokea? Nilikuwa office of the president, inaitwa OP, nikakunywa chai na Matiang’i,” he said.

He further noted that Kenya has earned respect abroad courtesy of President Kenyatta.

West Pokot Governor John Krop Lonyangapuo seems not to have left it at ‘kijana fupi nono round’ joke! The County chief who has won hearts of many Kenyans with his hilarious comics has made another joke most associated with his Kiambu counterpart Ferdinand Waititu.

While explaining to K24 TV anchor, Betty Kyallo, about why his county is better than Nairobi and Kiambu, he found himself mentioning the ‘moving rivers’ joke.

He argued that Nairobi and Kiambu had replaced fertile agricultural land with buildings and filled with scandals.

“The good news is that there is a very great wakening here and a desire that they want to do greater things than what they have done.

“We are now into cash crops like no other county before. You people are destroying yours by ‘planting’ houses in Nairobi and Kiambu and moving rivers yet here we are doing it,” stated the governor amidst laughter.

Betty described Lonyangapuo as a lively guest, “For real, he is hilarious! Such an amazing leader. Enjoying the shoot. You guys will love it!”

The journalist also revealed that the Governor showed her some survival tactics in the countryside (ushago).
