Guinness, the Official Beer of the Premier League, hosted football fans across Nairobi and Mombasa for a memorable Guinness Matchday experience following Arsenal’s confirmation as Premier League champions for the 2025/2026 season.

The title was officially secured after Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park, sealing a historic campaign that saw the North London club crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years with 85 points. The victory marked the end of Arsenal’s long wait for league glory after finishing runners-up in three consecutive seasons.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa spoiled Pep Guardiola’s farewell party after defeating Manchester City 2-1, days after Guardiola announced his departure from the club following a trophy-laden era at City. Manchester City finished the season in second place with 78 points, while Manchester United maintained third place with 71 points after a commanding 3-0 victory against Brighton.

The atmosphere across both Guinness Matchday venues reflected the passion and intensity that defines true football fandom, with fans fully immersed in the action from kick-off to the final whistle. Arsenal supporters at Al Capone in Nairobi and Club Mios in Mombasa erupted into celebration as Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy, creating unforgettable scenes of joy and excitement.

The experience was elevated by engaging football conversations, Guinness Matchday Cleansheet Challenge and expert punditry from Lotan Salapei, who guided fans through the highs, tension, and defining moments of the night.

“As the 25/26 Premier League season comes to an end with a momentous win for Arsenal, Guinness is proud to continue creating spaces where fans can experience these unforgettable moments together. We would like to especially thank our consumers who showed up to Guinness Matchday experiences this year. We remain committed to bringing you even better experiences next season,” said Joy Murugi, Brand Manager Guinness.

Beyond the football action, attendees were treated to an electrifying entertainment line-up that kept the celebrations going long after the final whistle. In Nairobi, fans enjoyed performances and high-energy entertainment from DJ Xclusive, MC Leroy, and music duo Watendawili. In Mombasa, the celebrations were powered by hip hop heavyweight Khaligraph Jones alongside MC Gogo, DJ Grauchi, and BV Accurate, delivering an unforgettable close to the Premier League season.

The Matchday experience also featured immersive fan engagement moments, premium Guinness serves, and a vibrant social atmosphere that transformed both venues into the ultimate football viewing destinations for the final day of the season.

Through Guinness Matchday, Guinness continues to strengthen its connection with football fans by creating memorable experiences rooted in passion, authenticity, and the shared love of the Premier League.

The UEFA Champions League returns tonight with two heavyweight quarter-final clashes set to define the direction of Europe’s elite season.

At 10pm, Real Madrid face familiar rivals Bayern Munich in a tie dripping with history, pedigree, and expectation.

But for many, the real intrigue lies elsewhere.

Sporting CP host Arsenal in a clash that carries more than just quarter-final stakes — it carries questions.

For Arsenal, the dream of a historic double is still technically alive. But reality tells a harsher story.

Defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final, followed by a shocking FA Cup quarter-final exit to Southampton FC, has exposed cracks in a team once seen as unstoppable.

Now, they head to Portugal not just chasing progression — but redemption.

Reading Between the Lines

This is where it gets uncomfortable.

Because while Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich promises quality, structure, and elite-level control… Sporting vs Arsenal offers something more unpredictable.

Tension.
Narrative.
And the possibility of collapse.

A growing section of football fans aren’t just watching Arsenal to see them win — they’re watching to see how they respond when the pressure tightens again.

Will this be the night the Gunners steady themselves on the European stage?
Or another chapter in a season slowly slipping from their grasp?

What’s at Stake

For Arsenal, this is no longer just about progression. It’s about identity.

A team that once looked like challengers on all fronts is now being forced to answer deeper questions — about mentality, resilience, and their ability to deliver when it matters most.

Sporting, meanwhile, step into this tie with freedom — and that makes them dangerous.

One game is about legacy.
The other is about pressure.

And sometimes… pressure makes for the better story.

Manchester United’s victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium removed the Gunners from the list of unbeaten home teams.

Sunderland now stand as the only side in the league yet to lose a home match so far this season.

The development comes following United’s away win in North London, a result that reshaped the league’s home-form landscape and left Sunderland’s Stadium of Light as the last remaining fortress in the division.

While Arsenal had relied on home consistency to anchor their campaign, their defeat at the Emirates highlighted a wider trend this season, traditional strongholds are no longer guarantees, making Sunderland’s home resilience all the more significant as the season progresses.

The UEFA Champions League lights are back on, and Night 1 of Matchday 7 promises pure box office as Europe’s elite collide in a series of heavyweight clashes.

At the San Siro, Inter Milan host Arsenal in a battle that could have major implications for table supremacy. Both sides arrive in strong form, and with little separating them on quality, this one has all the ingredients of a classic European night.

Over in Spain, Real Madrid welcome Monaco to the Bernabéu in a fixture dripping with intrigue. Los Blancos remain the benchmark in this competition, but all eyes will be on Monaco — and potentially Paul Pogba, who could be handed more minutes as he continues his return to top-level football on the grandest stage.

Elsewhere, Tottenham face Ajax in a matchup that rekindles memories of past Champions League drama. Two sides built on youth, pace, and fearless attacking football go head-to-head in what promises to be an open, high-tempo contest.

With reputations on the line and knockout momentum beginning to take shape, Matchday 7 gets underway with the kind of intensity only the Champions League can deliver. European nights don’t get much better than this.

It has been a terrible weekend for Chelsea and Man United fans. Honestly, we expected Manchester United to be whipped in the Manchester Derby but no one expected the league leaders to drop points at home against Burnley.

I am sure the Blues were on several people’s multibets, meaning the draw was not only felt by their fans but hundreds of punters across the world.

We hope Sunday’s matches, will give us a chance to recover our money. There are thousands of matches being played today but our tipsters have carefully analyzed three matches, which give us a total of 5 odds.

Arsenal face Watford in the late evening. Mikel Arteta’s boys have picked form after a blip at the beginning of the season and our tipsters believe the guns will shoot down Claudio Ranieri’s boys.

Triple5bet have an Arsenal win at 1.45 odds, low but very sure. You can place everything you have on this match.

Fun Fact: Arsenal will go above Manchester United for the first time this season if they beat Watford. Man United were title contenders and Arsenal were relegation bound.

The biggest match of the day will be Westham against Liverpool at the London stadium. These are teams seated 4th and 3rd respectively on the table. David Moyes has done some great work Westham since last season and they are expected to challenge for European football but I don’t see them beating Liverpool. This is an easy fixture for Jurgen Klopp, so we are going for a Liverpool win at 1.79 odds.

In La liga, Atletico Madrid need to find some form if they are to defend the title they won last season. With rebuilding at Real Madrid and Barcelona, Diego Simeone’s men started the season as title favorites. However, they have not lived to expectations.

They need to go back to winning ways and I can’t see a better match to kick start their season than today’s match against Valencia. I am going for an Atletico win here, at 2.00 odds.

Today’s Odds:

Arsenal to win against Watford – 1.45 odds

Liverpool to beat West Ham – 1.79 odds

Atletico to beat Valencia – 2.00 odds

Arsenal hero Freddie Ljungberg has been backed to replace Unai Emery with Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Wolves increasing the pressure on the Gunners boss.

Arsenal have been linked with appointing Freddie Ljungberg as their new boss amid their struggles under Unai Emery.

And, in the wake of their 1-1 Premier League draw with Wolves on Sunday, the Independent say the former Gunners star is ready to step in as caretaker boss should Emery’s head roll.

The Spaniard is under pressure at Arsenal. His side have not won four of their last five games with the draw against Wolves coming after defeats to Sheffield United and Liverpool, as well as another stalemate with Crystal Palace.

Arsenal want to resist calls to sack Emery until the end of the season.

But the report says that Ljungberg is ready to spectacularly step in as caretaker should they have a change of heart.

They’d still rather give Emery time to turn things around, particularly given he steered them to the Europa League final last season.

But they’re aware that the feelings of anger among fans are rising and that, simply put, they should be doing better.

Arsenal thought Emery was the right man to replace Arsene Wenger in 2018, choosing the 47-year-old over the likes of Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira.

While most mistakes in life prove costly, that was not the case for one Julius Kipkemboi, who hails from Kipkaren catchment, Nandi County.

Kipkemboi, predicted 19 games correctly on Odibets to win Ksh 423,693 with only Ksh 49, a victory propelled by a mistake he accidentally committed while placing his bet.

He had initially planned to bet on an Arsenal win as they played Watford on Sunday, however, his luck struck as he mistakenly picked Arsenal women, who were playing against Manchester United in the FA Women’s Super League, with the former winning.

Had Kipkemboi placed Arsenal men, he would have lost the bet as the Gunners were held by Watford after a shambolic defensive display. This was one of the games that cost many punters their bets.

“I picked my betting strategy from my father who’s been betting on sports for over 40 years,” said the elated 37-year-old who is a hotelier.

Kipkemboi spoke in the presence of his father, who accompanied his son as he collected his dues from the betting firm.

“So many leagues are back after the International Break and our customers will be spoilt for choice on the offers they can enjoy from Odibets whether it’s the EPL, Champions League, or Serie A,” stated Daniel Macharia, Odibets lead bookmaker.

Mr Macharia added, “We have a 10% boost on wins which boosts our customers’ wins – in Kipkemboi’s case, his boost was around Ksh 40,000.

Odibets is one of the fastests betting websites in Kenya offering boosted odds, 100’s of markets and thousands of live betting events.
