The victim of the shooting is then dragged on the floor being taken outside the nightclub.

Babu Owino was on Friday morning arrested after the incident being reported at Kilimani Police station.

Babu Owino who is not a stranger to controversy shot the DJ in the wee hours of the Friday morning.

The victim is apparently in critical condition and is admitted at the Nairobi Hospital intensive care unit (ICU).

In 2018, Babu and one of his bodyguards, Fanuel were arrested for assaulting a parking attendant at Fortis Towers in Westlands, Nairobi.

Appearing before chief magistrate Francis Andayi, Babu jointly with others not before the court, are said to have assaulted David Gichagu and caused him “actual bodily harm”.

Babu was separately charged with two counts of using insulting language in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace and create a disturbance.

Former State House employee Dennis Itumbi has narrated his ordeal in the hands of rogue police officers at Kilimani police station on Friday evening.

Itumbi alongside some tanga tanga affiliated MPs flocked Kilimani police station to demand for the release of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who was arrested over assault.

They had gone with a court order that demanded him released on a Ksh 50,000 bond.

Below is a long post shared by Itumbi on facebook.

Hahaaa.

” Do not worry,” The policeman at the gate told me as he held my hand.

” You know how this works, we are just following orders,” The cop continued as he told me ” I will escort you To the car, so that you are not beaten by my colleagues.

” I understand, ” I said and redirected the conversation, ” so, normally, how many days off do you get in a week?

” It depends on operations, sometimes two and other times three,”

“Oooh interesting, ” the Tear gas fumes were still affecting everyone even the officers who were coughing and pouring water to reduce the checking effect.

” Huyo ni nani afande? One cop shouted from a distance as we walked towards together. He was holding my arm.

” Usijali, we no on orders, but nitaongea nayo, usiwache Mmmh I wangu, ” The Friendly cop said to me

” Shika huyo,” I saw two cops drag someone past me, I was later to learn it was a Nation Journalist.

He was put in despite producing his Press Card.

Screams followed. ” Your children will never be anything,” a KTN journalist who had been beaten and I was later to learn sprained his arm shouted as he took off. He had also walked in to pick his car.

My friendly cop responded, to the group of cops who had blocked our way and formed a near perfect Semi-Circle, ” Huyu ni Itumbi alikuwa na sisi siku mzima, anaenda kuchukua Gari,”

” Apana yeye ndiye alileta waheshimiwa”

” Tupatie Yeye, ” another shouted hitting his rungu on his palms slightly.

“Itumbi ndiye aliita media” another shouted as my friendly cop stood his ground tightening his grip on my hand.

” Ata alikuwa Live Facebook, ni yeye ameleta pressure,”

The next thing I was pulled from my friendly cop by several policemen who were obviously more than a dozen.

They kicked, rained blows, swang their rungus on any part of the body they could reach.

“Simu iko wapi?” As one threw me on the ground kicks continued.

Fortunately, I did not have my phone or wallet just some 2, 200 shillings which they found and pulled.

As the kicks continued, I sensed it would not stop. So, I held the legs of one of them and as he turned to free himself…i got my chance and fled for the exit gate, with some chasing me.

A few dwellings and bruises was the report form of my experience in the arms of the goons, because they cannot be police officers.

Eventually, using a few tricks, I managed to drive off.

But, Meen, that was a good beating.

You get enjoy some hurdles on this journey, without them you cannot tell such beautiful stories.

Naitwa Mwangi, pole for the beating too.

Cherotich Carren Kiki niko poa.

Asanteni for all the calls and texts across platforms.

Mambo kidogo sana hii….God has surrounded us with His angels.

Be blessed
