Safaricom has restored lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi’s sim card after he threatened to shift to their competitors.

The flamboyant lawyer had on Sunday morning shared his disappointments after the giant telco switched off his line after the deadline issued by the Communications Authority of Kenya lapsed.

The Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) had announced that it will not extend the deadline for the fourth time after it was extended on April 15, 2022.

CA was forced to extend registration exercise amid complaints from the members of the public, a majority of whom were yet to be registered.

Switched off lines will no longer access crucial services such as M-Pesa or Airtel Money, send texts or make calls after deactivations.

However, after crying foul on social media, Safaricom restored Ahmednasir’s line.

Taking to his official Twitter handles this morning, Ahmednasir said Safaricom had unceremoniously switched off his line despite him being their loyal customer for the past 25 years.

“After 2 and half decades of being a loyal customer of Safaricom, they unceremoniously switched off my line this Sunday,” he said.

The senior counsel added that he will be moving to the giant telecommunications company’s competitor starting Monday October 17, 2022.

He noted that after moving to one of Safaricom’s competitors, he will never turn back to use their service again.

After his line was restored, the lawyer now says that his office will do the needful tomorrow.

“Glad that @Safaricom_Care restored my line…that was the sensible thing to do…and my office kesho will do the needful,” he said.

Regular plans to switch off unregistered lines kicked off Saturday midnight.

As of Friday , Safaricom was leading with the number of registered clients with 38 million (91 per cent) followed by Airtel 13.4 million (48 per cent) and Telkom Kenya 1.8 million (40 percent).

As a result, CA said that a total of 500,000 lines had been deregistered between the month of January-June 2022.

Customers whose line will have been closed will have a window period of three-months to re-register their SIMs as long as they provide ownership proofs.

The 2015 CA’s Registration of SIM Card Regulations prohibits SIM cards hawking, slapping a six-month jail term, a Sh300,000 or both for those contravening the law.

Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga’s staunch supporter Mohamed Wehliye caused a stir online after he was spotted with President William Ruto.

In a photo shared on Twitter by lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi, Wehliye is seen together with the senior counsel and President Ruto while at a venue that looks like Dubai.

Ahmednasir had captioned the photo that the trio was working to make Kenya better again.

This triggered mixed reactions from a section of netizens who questioned how Wehliye had moved on so fast after Raila lost the presidential election to Ruto.

Some accused him of dumping Raila and joining the Ruto-led government.

This forced Wehliye to take to Twitter to defend himself, arguing that he has not joined the government.

He told the critics to relax, arguing that he has not taken up anyone’s position in the government, noting that he only had a good meeting with the president and discussed how they can both help Kenya.

However, Wehliye sacarstically remarked that after all, everyone is looking for work in the new government.

“To all those sending DMs & the Northern politicians panicking….Please relax, I am not joining government or taking up ‘your positions’. Just had a very good meeting with our president and discussed how we can all help KENYA! Si kila mtu anatafuta kazi!” tweeted Wehliye.

President Ruto who is out of the country has been meeting several Kenyans in the diaspora, including Kenyan businessman Julius Mwale and his controversial supporter Cosmo Choy.

Taking to his official Twitter account on Friday, February 25, 2022, lawyer Ahmednasir who has been supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s hustler narrative said that for President Kenyatta to make any sense to Mt Kenya people and other Kenyans at large, he must come out and explain the purposes of his post-retirement politics.

According to the senior counsel, President Kenyatta must clarify whether his interest in the succession politics is personal, family or national.

The lawyer who represented President Kenyatta during the 2017 presidential election petition went ahead to claim that the first in command must be ignored by Kenyans if his interest in the current politics is personal or family based.

Further, the lawyer argues that President Kenyatta had been given 10 years by Kenyans to deal with national issues.

“For H.E UHURU to MAKE SENSE to Mt Kenya & other Kenyans he must explain:”THE PURPOSES OF HIS POST RETIREMENT POLITICS”. Is his “POST RETIREMENT POLITICS” personal, family or national? If its personal/family he MUST BE IGNORED! If it is national, DIDN’T WE GIVE HIM 10 YRS TO DO IT?” tweeted the lawyer.

President Kenyatta while endorsing the former prime minister argued that his deputy William Ruto has not reformed and that he can only be considered if he tores the line in future.

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi, the Weston Hotel’s counsel in a case involving a parcel of land in which the facility stands has claimed that the government sent tractors and goons to demolish the hotel two days ago.

Weston Hotel has remained top on social media trends for the past 48 hours over claims that bulldozers allegedly sent by government had been seen around the facility.

The claims were first posted by Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, who had shared some of the pictures of the bulldozers allegedly at Lang’ata Road where the Hotel stands.

“The Deep State are indeed cornered. They have today decided to express their fury by demolishing Weston Hotel,” posted Sudi on October 6, 2021.

Ahmednasir through his official Twitter account on Friday October 8, 2021 confirmed that indeed the tractors had been sent before the operation was later on called off.

“As counsel on RECORD for Weston Hotel I can OFFICIALLY CONFIRM that the GOVERNMENT of the REPUBLIC of KENYA 48 hours ago sent tractors and goons to demolish the Hotel. The operation was called off after the tractors reached the hotel and the powers that be changed its mind,” he posted.

Weston Hotel had in September this year moved to the court of appeal faulting a judge of the High Court who insisted on hearing a petition filed by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) over the land row.

In the appeal, Weston Hotel which belongs to Deputy President William Ruto, said it was dissatisfied by a ruling issued in March this year by Justice Benard Eboso, allowing the petition by KCAA to proceed for hearing.

The hotel management, Priority Ltd and Monene Investment, wanted the suit by KCAA dismissed arguing that the authority erred by filing a fresh suit instead of filing an appeal against a decision by the National Land Commission, dated January 2019.

In the decision, NLC directed Weston to compensate KCAA for the land at the current rates. But on March 2, Justice Eboso dismissed the objection by Weston and stated that Environment and Land Court had jurisdiction to hear the case and that the NLC decision was not binding.

Through senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi, Weston faulted the judge saying he failed to address pertinent questions, such as jurisdiction and instead digressed and made a finding on a matter that was not argued before him.

Weston further said the judge failed to determine the issues brought before him by the parties and instead framed for his own issues and gave his interpretation.

Last year, Weston Hotel claimed the land dispute case in court is all about the 2022 presidential election politics.

In its submissions to court, Weston Hotel said the case is a conspiracy between Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and certain political actors to politicise it for “cheap political drama”.

KCAA says the land where Weston Hotel sits belonged to the defunct 1977-era East Africa Community.

In June 1999, then Commissioner of Lands wrote to the Directorate of Civil Aviation citing an application by a church to use the parcel.

But Ruto says he acquired the parcel from Priority Management Ltd and Monene Investments Limited at Sh10 million in 2007.

NLC on its part said the land belonged to KCAA and directed that Weston Hotel pays off for the property at current market value.

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto’s Tanga Tanga faction of the ruling Jubilee party will benefit big should President Uhuru kenyatta dissolve parliament as per Chief Justice David Maraga’s advice.

Taking to his official Twitter account this morning, the flamboyant lawyer claimed that should Prrsident Kenyatta hid to the advice, Tanga Tanga will have a super majority of about 70% in both houses of the parliament.

Ahmednasir went ahead to argue that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga will be the biggest loser.

According to the lawyer, Raila’s Orange party will lose its popularity, to an extend of jut being a Luo Nyanza political party.

“If H.E Uhuru DISSOLVES parliament in-line with the HERETIC constitutional advice by CJ Maraga, TangaTanga will have a super majority of about 70% in both Houses…and odm will become a Luo Nyanza party…FACT,” he tweeted.

Maraga on Monday September 21, 2020 made history yet again, advising President Kenyatta to dissolve Parliament for failing to implement the two-thirds gender rule.

In a new first, the Chief Justice handed a guilty verdict against the entire cast of Parliament for failing to carry out their constitutional mandate despite clear warnings.

Yesterday, Justice Maraga said despite the court orders, Parliament remained defiant.

According to him, even when he gave the speakers chance to defend themselves in a petition filed by Law Society of Kenya, Fredrick Gichanga, Toili, Stephen Owoko, John Wangai and David Sudi, they never filed submissions despite raising objections.

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi on Wednesday night tore into President Uhuru Kenyatta, his handshake partner the ODM party leader Raila Odinga and COTU secretary General Francis Atwoli.

Appearing on Citizen TV’s JKLIVE hosted by Jeff Koinange, the senior counsel dropped bombshells and serious hard tackles targeting the trio.

Speaking on Uhuru and Raila’s good shared relationship, the lawyer stated that in a presidential system like Kenya’s, the president cannot share executive authority with members from another political party.

Ahmednasir said that it is a high time the President told Kenyans what is going on between him and his Deputy Dr William Samoei Ruto.

He further stated that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is completely unnecessary, citing that it is a game show played by the President and honourable Raila.

According to he lawyer, some of the things the President is doing with the opposition, with Raila, are completely against the constitution.

He also noted that it is hypocritical to say that Raila was coming to save Jubilee, citing that Raila’s history is very clear; he never comes to save a party.

However, the COTU boss was not spared. Atwoli, he is a great critic of DP Ruto has in most cases viewed as an advisor to the head of state.

But according to Grand Muller, Atwoli can’t offer any advice to the president. Ahmednasir notes that the trade unionist is barely illiterate, and can only crack jokes and throw telephones.

“What advice can Atwoli give the President? Atwoli is barely literate… What advice can he give to a President?… maybe crack jokes or throw telephones,” he said.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Director of Elections and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has savagely responded to Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi, after he made weird demands from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ahmednasir, who has been representing Deputy President William Ruto in a Weston Hotel land case, Thursday morning demanded President Kenyatta to address the nation and declare that he was not supporting DP Ruto anymore.

The lawyer further demanded the head of state to to say that he was wishing his deputy a bad luck, and to declare that he would fight his deputy tooth and nail to completely finish him.

“For his credibility/authority and even HONESTY, H.E UHURU must address the NATION and officially announce that he has parted ways with his deputy, that he isn’t supporting him for 2022, that he wishes him BAD LUCK, will fight him TOOTH and NAIL and will FINISH him KABISA. such a public declaration will greatly enhance H.E UHURU’S standing, credibility/stature. I think it is BENEATH Uhuru to fight his deputy by stealth or through EXPIRED wazees like Atwoli.Kenyans can appreciate such a bold and MANLY action and even support it,” reads part of Ahmednasir’s post.

Responding to the lawyer’s demands, Junet said that Ahmednasir will have to wait until the world ends or until he stops going to court, but his demands will never happen.

According to Junet, Ahmednasir’s demands only happens when somali people steal camels from each other.

“SC that you will wait until the world ends or you stop going to court.. what you are asking for only happens when SOMALIS steal CAMELS from each other,” Junet fired back.

Flamboyant City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has claimed that Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho might be the Kenya’s next President.

The senior counsel who has been representing Deputy President William Ruto in a case involving Weston Hotel says that Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has an excellent chance if Joho is made their Presidential candidate for 2022.

Through a Sunday morning tweet, the lawyer claimed that leaders are born during crisis.

He argued that the the ODM party leader has gone completely awol at this time of Covid-19 pandemic. He says that Governor Joho is the only ODM politician who has been visible and effective at the time of coronavirus pandemic.

“Leaders are BORN during crisis and at a time when Hon Raila has gone COMPLETELY AWOL Governor @HassanAliJoho has been the only VISIBLE/EFFECTIVE ODM politician during the Coronavirus crisis. ODM has excellent chance if Joho is ODM’s Presidential candidate for 2022,” he tweeted.

Joho has taken the lead in the fight against Covid-19 in a way that has caught many by surprise. He has won praise for his style of leadership in a time of crisis, which is arguably better than that of his compatriots in the Council of Governors.

The county has even threatened to prosecute residents who fail to comply with directives.

Joho, who has set aside a Sh200 million war chest against the coronavirus from the county’s kitty, has been pulling different players together.

He has even acquired the most unlikely unofficial assistant, hitherto political rival Suleiman Shahbal, who has taken the lead role among the business community.

Shahbal’s idea of a disinfecting booth at the Likoni ferry crossing, where ferry users can be disinfected en masse, was quickly taken up by his new-found partner in crisis.

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has slammed ODM’s Junet Mohamed for invading Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s political bedroom and demanding that he leaves.

Ahmednasir says that it was wrong for Junet to invade Jubilee which he says is Ruto’s bedroom and demand for his exit.

According to the lawyer, it was is of no decency for ODM brigade to demand for Ruto’s exit so that they can sleep on the ‘bedroom’s bed’.

He has demanded for an explanation from Junet.

“Sometimes I DON’T UNDERSTAND my good friend Hon @JunetMohamed …he come to the bedroom of the DP Ruto(JUBILEE) and tells him to get out…so that they(odm) can sleep on the bed…NO common decency!!!.@WehliyeMohamed …please explain this,” he tweeted.

On Monday, Junet alongside some kieleweke MPs attacked the DP for what they claimed as his disrespect to president Uhuru Kenyatta.

They demanded for Ruto’s resignation if he was not ready to support his boss, president Kenyatta.

Junet claimed that Ruto quit Jubilee long time ago, only that he has not made it official.

He argued that DP Ruto kicked off his 2022 presidential campaigns after 2017 general polls, ignoring president’s orders of stopping early campaigns.

The Pro-Uhuru MPs drawn from Jubilee’s kieleweke faction, ODM and Wiper argued that Ruto had lost believe in his boss.

They relied on his attacks on Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) to demand for his resignation.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga will have a huge advantage against any candidate including Deputy President Dr William Ruto if he runs to be the president of Kenya in 2022, senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has said.

Ahmednasir who has been representing DP Ruto in a case involving Weston Hotel says Raila will have the advantage against any other candidate because of his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The senior counsel further notes that executive powers bestowed upon Raila by President Kenyatta will earn the former premier another advantage.

According to him, Raila is a proud co-owner of the Jubilee party’s development record.

“Hon Raila will have a HUGE advantage against any candidate including DP Ruto if he runs to be PRESIDENT of Kenya in 2022.Because of the HANDSHAKE & the executive powers bestowed upon him by H.E Uhuru he is a PROUD co-owner of the UNENVIABLE/GLOWING record of JUBILEE,” tweeted Ahmednsir.

Just a day after Deputy President Dr William Ruto cursing out Nation Media Group over a controversial headline that ran on Thursday, his lawyer in the case case involving Weston Hotel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has slammed Standard Newspaper over another headline.

The Standard on Friday morning ran a headline titled “Bank Fights to Get Back one billion from Ruto hotel”, which Ahmednasir has termed as fraudulent.

While referring to the Mombasa road-based media house as a gutter press, the Grand Muller said false reporting is the paper’s stock in trade.

This is not the first time the DP has been at a tussle with media houses over headlines.

Early last month, Ruto lashed out at The Standard newspaper over what he termed as ‘desperate gutter journalism lies of drama.’

The DP’s remarks were in reaction to an article published by the newspaper which reported an alleged airport drama involving one of the DP’s men when President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in the country from Japan on Thursday.

In august, Ruto again had put the Standard newspaper on the spot over a story they had published.

The DP referred to the publication’s article titled, ‘BBI A Waste of Taxpayers Money’, as misleading and alarming.

He, therefore, took to his Twitter account, where he expressed his displeasure with the said newspaper.

Senior Counsel Ahmednsir Abdullahi has said that the ruling Jubilee party killed Mombasa’s economy because they hated governor Hassan Ali Joho.

His statement follows the demonstrations that were staged in Mombasa on Monday following what the residents argued that Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) has spelled doom on the region’s economy.

With the coming of SGR, all cargo is supposed to be transported by the railway line, denying job opportunities to road transporters.

Ahmednasir now claims that since Jubilee is now in love with governor Joho due to the handshake between Prrsident Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga, a marshal plan should be done to revive Mombasa’s economy.

The senior counsel further says that the plan should be named Sultan Joho plan.

“JUBILEE KILLED Mombasa because once upon a time they hated/didn’t like Sultan @HassanAliJoho. Now that JUBILEE is MADLY in LOVE with Sultan Joho, please do a Marshall plan to revive Mombasa….call it SULTAN JOHO Plan,” he posted.

The demonstration, which started at Makupa round about to Changamwe round about in Mombasa west, caused a jam between the Island and Mombasa mainland.

The demonstrators carrying placards castigating Kenya Ports Authority, Kenya Revenue Authority officials and a minister walked over 10 kilometres as they sang songs against the government.

As the demonstration continued, the truck drivers hooted as a sign of solidarity while road construction workers also abandoned their works to cheer demonstrators.

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has issued an advice on how bribes should be taken as the use of old Ksh 1000 notes come to an end after September 30.

The lawyer took to his official twitter account saying that the demonetisation of the old Ksh 1000 notes has taught the ruling elites an important lesson.

According to the lawyer, bribes should be taken in form of American Dollars.

“The demonetisation of the 1000 Kenya shillings notes has taught the ruling elites an important lesson…take your BRIBES IN AMERICAN DOLLARS,” he posted.

The government has vowed to tighten measures to ensure that illegally obtained monies is not sneaked into the formal financial system ahead of the October 1 deadline for all persons to surrender the old Ksh.1,000 currency notes.

In June this year, Central Bank of Kenya Governor Dr. Patrick Njoroge said he will be holding talks with managers of foreign exchange bureaus and money remittance providers to put in place controls to prevent illicit financial flows.

Dr. Njoroge further pointed out that he will be communicating with other Central Banks across the region for collaboration in the fight against financial crimes in Kenya.

CBK gave the public until October 1 to exchange the old notes in a move seen as a fight against corruption and wanton siphoning of public resources.

Twitter was on fire on Monday morning when two of Kenya’s top lawyers, senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi and flamboyant city lawyer Donald Kipkorir engaged in a war of words.

The war began when Donald Kipkorir lamented on Kimwarer and Arror dam projects just days after president Uhuru Kenyatta cancelled the Kimwarer dam project.

Kipkorir said the two dams’ contracts were corruptly gotten and are void, arguing that the entire sum of Kshs. 21 billion plus and punitive damages is recoverable from all beneficiaries.

He further slammed Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen saying that the senator’s advice had no legal foundation and is fake.

” Arror & Kimwarer Dams Contracts were corruptly gotten & are void . Entire sum of Kshs. 21B plus & punitive damages is recoverable from all beneficiaries. Purported advise by Kipchumba Murkomen has no legal foundation & is Fake. He ought to be dropped as Senate Majority Leader,” tweeted Donald Kipkorir.

This is when Ahmednasir came in, asking for “the common denominator between the late Kamotho, Chotara and Kipkorir” arguing that they paint with dirt their ethnic communities to endear themselves to the powers.

Ahmednasir further argued that Kipkorir should learn from history and stop abusing his Kalenjin community for the allure of mirage.

Kipkorir again came to respond to the tweet, asking Ahmednasir how condemning corruption can be abuse of a community.

The city lawyer argued that he has been condemning corruption across for over 30 Years citing that Ahmednasir’s timeline is full of abuses against Somalis who don’t agree with him on leadership of Somalia.

“How can condemning corruption be abuse of a community? Have condemned corruption across for over 30 Years! And look in the mirror. Your timeline is full of abuses against Somalis who don’t agree with you on leadership of Somalia ..Which is surprising as I thought you are Kenyan,” posted Kipkorir.

Ahmednasir in his response accused Kipkorir of criticism Saudi Arabia day in day out. He further accused him of getting files from NSSF land scandal by force between 1998 and 2001 before being chased away.

“Typical small minded Don, you criticise Saudi Arabia 24 hours/7 days a week did we question your citizenship? Second ati you fought graft for 30 yrs, we remember how you got files(NSSF LAND DEALS) by force in 1998-2001 before HE (you know whom iam talking about) chased you away,” read Ahmednasir’s post.

But Kipkorir came in to defend himself from the accusations, arguing that he had never handled any file from NSSF and that he has never received any money from NSSF.

He further told Ahmednasir that if was was campaigning to be an Attorney General (AG) or Chief Justice (CJ) in a TangaTanga Government to do it openly.

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has asked vocal Jubilee lawmaker belonging to tanga tanga group Hon Oscar Sudi to take up the opposition mantle and lead Kenyans to the Promised Land.

Through his twitter handle, Ahmednasir asked the Kapsaret MP to take up the role since he has been claiming that the Country has no opposition to the ruling government.

“Let us manage the traffic Hon Sudi. Now that you claim Kenya has no opposition to the JUBILE government in power, and we know many Kenyans are waiting for an opposition MESSAIAH, take the mantle and lead us to the PROMISED LAND,” tweeted the lawyer.

Lawyer Abdullahi’s remarks come a day after the Kapsraet lawmaker dared President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William ruto to resign.

In an interview with journalists at his Eldoret home on Wednesday, Sudi accused President Kenyatta’s administration of being the most incompetent since independence.

He further claimed that president Kenyatta’s administration was the worst in history and was allegedly running down the country’s economy.

“Ukiona Rais hawezi kukutana na viongozi na Governors na senators wanaandamana kwa barabara iko shida  (when you a president who cannot meet with governors and senators forcing them to take to the streets just know we have a problem,” said Mr Sudi.

His comments came barely hours after President Kenyatta doing a mini cabinet reshuffle that saw Henry Rotich sacked as Treasury Cabinet Secretary with Amb Ukur Yattani coming in as his replacement.
