A police officer who testified against the personal Assistant to businessman Mohammed Jaffar in a criminal cyberbullying case is set to be cross-examined today.
Senior forensics investigator, Chief Inspector Joseph Kolum, attached to the Anti-terrorism police unit ( ATPU), is set to shed more light on the case where Matilda Kinzani has been charged with linking the family of mining CS Ali Hassan Joho, his elder brother Abubakar Joho, to claims of drug trafficking, embezzlement of public funds, and loss of cointainers inside the Kenya ports Authority.
Kolum, who testified against Kinzani, informed the court that the suspect on trial had escaped the jurisdiction of the country, moments after making the utterances against Joho’s family to Zanzibar through Mombasa airport.

Kolum produced the air tickets that had been booked by Kinzani using the same laptop that he had used to defame Joho’s family.
“The suspect, Matilda Kinzani, had fled the country immediately. I hereby produce tickets of her departure on July 26 from Mombasa Moi International Airport to Zanzibar,” he stated
The officer demonstrated the letter that was in circulation, generated using a personal computer authored by the suspect. He went on to tell the court that the computer was the property of Grainbulk handlers limited, now renamed Bulk stream Ltd.
According to Kolum, the defamatory message was authored by Jaffar’s computer, and the laptop in question was being used by two people, attached to the grain bulk handlers / Bulkstream.
Matilda has since denied all three charges being leveled against her and is out on a bond of Ksh 100,000.
