Gatundu South Member of Parliament and the Chama Cha Kazi Party leader Moses Kuria has opened opened up that he is headed to Deputy President William Ruto’s camp.

Taking to his official Facebook account this morning, the lawmaker said his party and 21 other political parties are in early talks with Kenya Kwanza Alliance ahead of the August polls.

Kuria noted that the talks will lead to a very broad based grand coalition that will deliver the nation to peace and prosperity.

“This is to inform Kenyans that Chama Cha Kazi Party and 21 other political parties are in early talks with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance that will lead to a very broad based grand coalition that will deliver the nation to peace and prosperity. Details to follow,” he posted.

This comes just days after he said that the Azimio la Umoja camp is not an option for him.

His party has scheduled its National Delegates Conference on March 15.

Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is set to have his NDC on the same date.

Moses Kuria’s NDC will be held at the Bomas of Kenya while DP Ruto’s camp will hold theirs at the Kasarani indoors arena.

The Kenya Kwanza Alliance so far has UDA, the Moses Wetang’ula-led Ford Kenya and the Musalia Mudavadi-led Amani National Congress (ANC) as affiliate parties.

Do you think Moses Kuria’s entrant will re-energize the Kenya Kwanza Alliance?

By Hon Moses Kuria, via FB

I note with concern attempts by the team of my fellow Mt Kenya MPs who met in Aberdares today to label all other parties as regional, tribal or selfish

The truth of the matter is that the United Democratic Alliance which they purport to portray as the ONLY vehicle in the region is only one member of the Hustler Nation. Further, the Hustler Nation is and can not be owned by any particular individual as we started it all as a mass movement and an idea whose time has come

It is also a fact that UDA is perceived to be dominated by incumbent MPs who are hell bent to lock out their potential challengers out of the 2022 race.

Further, a party that has only 1 MP and 2 MCAs from Kiambu, Nyandarua and Nakuru can not claim to have bragging rights to brand all other parties as regional or tribal.

This is the kind of hubris and chest thumping that destroyed the Jubilee Party which we formed with so much hope and enthusiasm. It is the clearest attempt to take us to the days of the one party state and the dark KANU era. I was in the clamour for multi-partyism and the second liberation alongside Hon Mwangi Kiunjuri and Hon Martha Karua, as a young and vibrant student leader at the University of Nairobi. I am not as young and vibrant today and I can not go back to the streets to fight for multi-partyism again. I can only guard what is there.

The price of freedom is vigilance. We embrace and are all ready for team work, to work with everyone towards economic emancipation of all Hustlers. But we can not afford to close our eyes and forget contemporary history, let alone missing to learn from it. We are cognisant that history is a terrible bed to sleep in yet it is a wonderful lesson to learn.

It is this lesson that we failed to learn from the warning signals of 1992 and 1997 that led this country to a near armageddon of 2007/2008. If we had learnt this lesson in 1992 and 1997, a child who was thrown from the BOTTOM of a Church UP a window on 30th December 2007 would have survived.

I look forward to working with like minded colleagues in the HUSTLER NATION MOVEMENT to REALISTICALLY uplift the lives of all Hustlers.

I am a man on a mission to defend our hard fought democratic gains. In this MISSION I have no SPACE to retreat nor LUXURY to SURRENDER

UDA is NOT the only political party in the Hustler Nation Family. Any other narrative is false, outdated and ill-intentioned

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has responded to Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria after he claimed that a section of its clerks were being used to rig the Kiambaa by-election.

Moses Kuria through his official Facebook account on Thursday July 15 claimed that IEBC clerks from Kingothua Primary polling station had sneaked out KIEMS kits and that they were using them to conduct voting at Valentine growers plantation.

Kuria went ahead to share pictures of the vehicle that was allegedly being used to ferry the clerks, arguing that he had tried to reach out to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati but he was not picking his calls.

However, IEBC in response to the claims said that Moses Kuria was making false allegations. The electoral agency noted that the said vehicle is one of its vehicles and that it was being used by the commission’s staff who are providing technical support in the polling process in Kiambaa.

“The car in question is an IEBC vehicle being used by Commission staff who are providing technical support to the polling process. The post by Moses Kuria is therefore a false allegation,” tweeted IEBC.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has exposed the dirty intrigues that are being played in the new revenue allocation formula that has caused division in the senate .

Taking to his official Facebook account this morning, Kuria claimed that in the 2017 General Elections, Kiambu County had 1,173,593 registered voters.

He argues that Mandera, Garissa, Wajir, Isiolo and Marsabit had a combined 718,940 but in the existing formula for resource allocation, Kiambu gets Ksh 9 billion while the five Counties get combined Ksh 45 Billion.

The controversial lawmaker is now demanding for an explanation where justice and fairness lies in he current revenue allocation formula.

“In the 2017 General Elections, Kiambu County had 1,173,593 registered voters. Mandera, Garissa and Wajir, Isiolo and Marsabit had a combined 718,940. In the existing formula for resource allocation, Kiambu gets Ksh 9B. The 5 Counties get combined Ksh 45 Billion. Someone please look at me in the eye and explain to me like a two year old where justice and fairness lies here. With all humility please,” reads Kuria’s Facebook post.

Most senators want no county to lose a single cent in the new revenue sharing formula developed by the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA).

According to the Standard, at least 30 senators are in support of a motion by Nairobi’s Johnson Sakaja seeking to ensure no county gets reduced allocation based on the third formula that will see regions that have been receiving a higher allocation because of their huge landmass and high poverty indices, get less.

However, the move by senators backing Sakaja has created further divisions on the hotly contested formula the commission forwarded to the Senate for consideration.

Senators backing the third basis revenue sharing formula are those from counties that will be gaining as those from counties that will lose, rejecting it.

There are those that, while their regions are gaining, are backing Sakaja’s motion.Sakaja, Kithure Kindiki (Tharaka Nithi), Mohamed Faki (Mombasa) and Abshiro Halakhe (Nominated) have vowed to reject any proposal that will see any allocation to any county reduced while others gain.

Kindiki, who spoke on behalf of 18 other counties, argued that the formula being pushed by a section of senators, led by Murang’a’s Irungu Kangata, is highly divisive and meant to victimise some regions.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has named two vocal Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MPs in a Ksh 7 billion Covid-19 funds scandal.

The controversial lawmaker on Sunday July 19, 2020 claimed that Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Homabay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga were allegedly part of the Kenya Medical Supply Authority (KEMSA) scandal.

According to Kuria, the PPE tender was given to an individual in single sourcing, and when investigations were conducted, Junet Mohammed and Gladys Wanga were given the Ksh7 billion tender.

Kuria further argues that the matter would have been discussed everywhere only if Kenya had a working opposition.

He claims that the matter is not being addressed because opposition went to bed with the government through the famous March 2018 handshake.

He urged Ministry of Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe to stop touring the country and focus on solving the mstery behid the scandal.

The MP went as far back as when the independence party KANU united with KADU and noted that the period was marked by some of the country’s biggest scandals, most notably the looting of land.

Kuria warned that the union of ODM and the Jubilee Party could witness the same looting and even greater than previous ones experienced in the history of the country.

He added that the Kenya Medical Supply Authority (KEMSA) could be a first of many to come in the country.

KEMSA has been on the spotlight after the recently unearthed procurement and financial irregularities that jeopardised more than Ksh100 billion of donor funds as well as allegations of misuse of funds meant to boost the fight against Covid-19.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has hit back at the National Assembly Majority whip Emmanuel Wangwe, hours after being kicked out of the lucrative house committee.

The controversial lawmaker has accused the Navakholo MP of lacking knowledge about his role in the parliament. Kuria in a Facebook post on Wednesday night advised Wangwe to seek advice from his predecessor, the Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali.

While referring to Wangwe as a buffoon, Kuria told him that Member Services Committee is not a Departmental Committee. He went further to argue that the Majority whip job is above MP Wangwe’s pay grade and qualifications.

According to Moses Kuria, the highest certificate Wangwe holds is a Driving Licence.

Moses Kuria had earlier on accused Wangwe of ignorance, saying that he had been notified of intention to be discharged from the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) of which he was not a member and then Wangwe proceeded to discharge him from the Transport Committee.

Kuria and Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru are among four Jubilee Party legislators who have been expelled from National Assembly committees.

Others are Aldai MP Cornelly Serem and Bomet Woam Rep Joyce Korir.

Waruguru last week met with ODM leader Raila Odinga in what was said to be a move to save her from the ouster.

Waruguru met the African Union Special Envoy for Infrastructure last Tuesday before Laikipia North MP Sarah Korere visited the ODM leader the following day.

The outspoken MP, who was a staunch supporter of deputy president William Ruto, said she had resorted to work with the government. Ms Waruguru said she met the Orange Democratic Movement leader to discuss pertinent issues of national importance.

In his communication to speaker Justin Muturi, Wangwe noted that the four have been relieved of their duties.

Last week, Kuria accepted his removal as Vice Chairperson of the Transport, Infrastructure, Public Works and Housing Committee.

In his statement, the vocal lawmaker thanked the party for allowing him to serve in the aforementioned capacity. He did however, note that he had no regrets in discharging his duties.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to open the Country on Saturday June 6, 2020.

Taking to his official Facebook account of Friday night, the controversial lawmaker told President Kenyatta that hunger and poverty ravaging Kenyans is a recipe for a revolution.

He said that lawmakers are ready to work together with the head of state and support him fully in mitigation measures, but they cant afford one more day of the current curfew and lockdown.

He says that the hunger and poverty ravaging poor Kenyans will haunt leaders forever.

“Dear President Uhuru Kenyatta. Open up the country tomorrow. The hunger and poverty ravaging Kenyans is a recipe for a revolution. We will work together and support you fully in mitigation measures but we cant afford one more day of this curfew and lockdown. Open the country and the economy now. We cant afford this. Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto’s camp will take all the new political positions that are to be created under the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Taking to his official Facebook account on Thursday evening, the controversial lawmaker claimed that the camp supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s BBI push expect DP Ruto’s camp to oppose them.

This, according to Moses Kuria, is the reason why Kieni MP Kanini Kega wants National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale removed.

Mr Kuria notes that the Kieleweke faction of Jubilee party want Duale removed because of not supporting the BBI.

However, the second term MP made a bold declaration, saying that Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee will not oppose the BBI, unless it says that ballot papers will come pre-marked for Raila Odinga.

He has further dared the Uhuru team to bring on the BBI, so that it can be passed for both Ruto and the handshake camp to meet on the ballot come 2022.

He says that the current 2010 pure Presidential system was brought by Raila thinking he would be President.

Moses Kuria further, encouraged the BBI team to create the new posts under BBI and bring them on so that the Ruto camp can occupy all of them.

“From all these accusations that Hon Kanini Kega wants to remove Hon Aden Duale for not supporting the BBI process, it is clear that some people will use the BBI for some political Maccarthyism. They expect William Ruto and his team to oppose. I have bad news for you. The only BBI we will oppose is the one that says that ballot papers will come pre-marked for Raila Odinga. Hiyo ingine leteni tupitishe then tukutane kwa debe. Even the current 2010 pure Presidential system was brought by Raila thinking he would be President. Tengezeni hizo viti mnatengeneza. Tutapitisha na tuzikalie,” reads his Facebook post.

This comes just a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta convened a Jubilee Party Parliamentary Group meeting at State House, Nairobi.

It is through the meeting that Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali was removed from his post as Majority whip.

Moses Kuria however, some hours to the meeting had released a full list of those that were to be axed, most of them being Deputy President William Ruto’s allies.

Kuria had included himself on the list of those to be axed.

“The common factor between Judas Iscariot and Brutus was that both went for the kill with a grin. Today we had enough smiles. Tonight is the night of long knives. The victims have accepted with grace. I am very proud of my outgoing team. We have done this country great.

“I am heartened by the valour, fortitude and humility with which the axed leaders have taken this betrayal. Hon Aden Duale (Majority Leader), Benjamin Washiali (Majority Whip), Cecily Mbarire (Deputy Majority Whip), Kimani Ichungwa (Budget), William Cheptumo (JLAC), Gladys Boss Shollei (Delegated), Julius Melly (Education), Joseph Limo (Finance), Alice Wahome (Vice-Chair Legal) and myself (Vice-Chair Transport) – you are all heroes. I trust now the economy will grow with double digit,” he said in a Facebook post.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Communication director Philip Etale has told Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria to stop dragging the Orange party leader into his problems.

Taking to his official twitter account on Wednesday June 3, Etale told the controversial lawmaker that the former Prime Minister is not part of his woes in his own constituency.

Etale instead, has urged Moses Kuria to go back to his constituents, face them and pour out his heart instead of using Raila as a scapegoat for his problems.

“Hon. Moses Kuria, I know you have many problems back in Gatundu and Raila Odinga is not one of them. Please just face your constituent and pour out your heart instead of using Raila as a scapegoat,” he said.

Last month, a section of Nairobi ODM MPs hit out at Kuria for his constant attack on their party leader.

The lawmakers, led by ODM Nairobi County chairman and Makadara MP George Aladwa, called on Kuria to desist from divisive politics and instead focus on helping the government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta in fighting coronavirus pandemic as well as corruption.

Aladwa accused Mr Kuria of fighting any individual seen to be giving the backing the President needs to fight corruption and especially to recover stolen public money and land as well as deploy the recovered resources in the fight against Covid-19.

In January this year, Kuria, who referring to Raila as a ‘second wife’ to President Kenyatta, demanded respect for Tanga Tanga MPs.

Kuria has also, on several occasions, has accused Raila of being behind exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna’s tribulations.

The controversial MP has now claimed there is a plot to assassinate him for speaking the truth to power.

“So what after you kill me? Am I the last one who will speak the truth to you and your power?” Kuria posted on his social media account.

The MP, however, did not mention who intends to kill him but hinted that if the said assassination happens, it is because he is speaking the truth to power.

Kuria has on several occasions blasted the president’s leadership, saying Uhuru has changed since joining hands with his opponent Raila Odinga.

This has damaged his relationship with the people in Jubilee who supported him for re-election.

In the meantime, Uhuru seems to be at peace ever since having a handshake with Raila, with a leaked video showing them touring the Nairobi CBD at night to inspect projects.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has revealed an alleged plan to kick out Deputy President William Ruto.

According to the controversial lawmaker, the owners of the ruling Jubilee party have initiated a secret plot to impeach the second in command once they are done dealing with his allies.

Through his official facebook page on Sunday May 17, 2020, Moses Kuria said that the new Majority whip, the Murang’a senator Irungu Kang’ata as already received instructions to initiate the removal of Prof Kithure Kindiki as Deputy Speaker in the Senate.

According to Moses Kuria, Kindiki will be removed so as to pave way for impeachment of DP Ruto.

“The Jubilee Party Owner Occupier has given express instruction to Sen Irungu Kangata to initiate the removal of Prof Kithure Kindiki as Deputy Speaker in the Senate so as to pave way for impeachment of William Ruto. Like Job we refuse to give up on our Living God. We shall overcome. God will not forsake the righteous to appease the evil,” he posted.

The DP has hence remained silent on the changes that have been happening in Jubilee, but Kimilili Constituency MP Didmus Barasa has this morning taken to social media to answer the question many Kenyans have been asking.

According to the lawmaker, Tanga Tanga as a team operate on a philosophy of never and or not interrupting their enemies when they are making mistakes, and that they get more use from their enemies than from their friends.

The MP went ahead to reveal that Ruto’s camp is studying their enemy’s strength, weakness and intentions, which Tanga Tanga will use to inform their next point of action.

“People have been asking why @WilliamsRuto is silent when his allies are being clipped . As a team we operate on a philosophy of never and or not interrupting our enemies when they are making mistakes and that we get more use from our enemies than from our friends. We are studying their strength, weakness and intentions to inform our next point of action. We are not boarding,” he posted.

DP Ruto’s close allies, the Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen and his Nakuru counterpart Susan Kihika were recently removed from their senate posts, as Senate Majority leader and Majority Whip respectively.

Murkomen’s position was then filled by KANU’s Samuel Poghisio, with Kihika having her position filled by Murang’a senator Irungu Kang’ata.

Days later, Ruto-allied nominated senators received letters from Jubilee, demanding them to explain why they snubbed President Kenyatta’s Parliamentary Group meeting at State House.

Their are other looming changes targeting DP Ruto’s allies in the National Assembly, but the DP is still mum on the issue.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has finally reappeared after his alleged abduction. A section of Kenyans and politicians allied to him Friday evening raised concerns over his missing.

Internet was set ablaze, with leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto’s Tanga Tanga faction demanding his release, with some speculating that the controversial MP had been either kidnapped or arrested.

However, Sunday morning, the controversial lawmaker reappeared.

He took to his official facebook account to share his story.

Here is what he had to say.

“My great people of the Kenya land and Nation. I am safe and sound. I have not been abducted. And, again, I am safe. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of your love, your concern and solidarity

On Wednesday 6th May 2020, Kariobangi North MCA Hon Maina Njoka tried to offer help to the people of Kariobangi Sewage Village who had their houses demolished in the most barbaric manner.

Hon Njoka was arrested and held overnight at Pangani Police station, despite the DCIO Pangani assuring me personally that he would be released. Hon Njoka was only freed by a makeshift court at Kasarani stadium on Thursday 7th May 2020 at 5pm after laughable and flimsy charges.

The objective of Hon Njoka’s incarceration was to discourage anyone from standing with the suffering people of Kariobangi Sewage and Korogocho Market

On Friday, 8th May 2020, Ndindi Nyoro and myself decided to accompany Hon Maina Njoka to fulfill his desire to stand by the people who voted for him. As responsible leaders, we first presented to Kariobangi Police Station whereby we explained to the OCS and the Deputy OCS our mission and assured them that we have no ulterior motive other than to stand with our people.

We then proceeded to Sewage Village and the adjacent Korogocho Market which had by then cut off by way of digging a deep trench around it to deny traders access thus putting the lives of tens of thousands who depend on food from the market at risk. The demolitions at KariobangiSewage Village are heart wrenching to say the least. Women and children are spending days and nights in the cold. They have no money. They have no food. Rains are mercilessly pounding on them. They were told by their government to stay indoors due to the Corona Virus yet the same government demolishes the same houses they were asked to stay in. And to make matters worse the same government stops wellwishers and leaders from assisting them.

All the same, we devised ways and managed to address the people of Kariobangi Sewage and Korogocho market. We carefully listened to their cries and tears and promised to engage the government on these inhumane and barbaric actions against people who largely voted for the Jubilee government (Not that it matters, they are human beings to say the least)

Upon leaving the market, we retreated to Homeland inn along Thika Road for a brief meeting. It is at that point that I got information from very reliable sources that a very senior person had ordered for my arrest for daring to go to Korogocho.

The police leadership at Kariobangi was also under severe pressure and intimidation as to why they had not arrested me. As I left Homeland inn I was followed by 3 vehicles and had to use all sorts of deviations and tactics to dodge them. The objective was clearly to arrest me and hold me throughout the weekend or even worse to detain me in a quarantine facility.

I was determined not to let this happen as I had done no wrong other than to stand with suffering people. More so, I would not do so without my personal doctor given what happened to Ken Matiba.

The other objective was also to send a message to the so called political class not to stand with the people at their hour of need. I have been used before as a guinea pig to send a message to the opposition, the political class . I was arrested and charged in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 to facilitate arrests of opposition leaders.

I had to battle those charges in court before I was acquitted of all of them But. But still, I am not a guinea pig. I am a human being. I am a husband, a father, a leader, a brother and a son to my dear mother who gets depressed when her son is arrested and charged only to send a message to others. I am very sure if the United Nations demand that a Kenyan be offered to test the Corona Virus vaccine, the Kenya government will offer Moses Kuria as the guinea pig to test the vaccine

To the people of Korogocho and Kariobangi village, you shall not walk alone. I will be back with my colleagues and other well wishers to stand with you

And to you my people. Stay safe. And be vigilant. We have rights. And we shall never give in to tyranny

God Bless Kenya,”
